After much thoiught and consideration, the head of product development for Shepody Brewery has decided that we will be brewing neither the wheat beer nor the APA. It’s going to be a Belgian abbey ale, specifically a clone of Duinen Dubbel. Click on the link to see the recipe. I picked up a bottle of this excellent brew on a trip to Happy Harry’s Bottle Shop in Grand Forks (ND) last fall. It is truly a delight to drink. I bought a kilo of Special B grain from Paddock Wood in Saskatoon a while back, in anticipation of making a dubbel, as my local store doesn’t carry that grain.
Brew day will either be this coming Friday or Saturday, depending on how things are going onthe family front. I’ll keep you informed of our progress.
